Meet our new Editor… Anabella Wewer

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Read a message from Founding Editor and Publisher Rhona Duffy.

Since launching Mosaic & Glass magazine almost exactly four years ago, it has been a genuine joy to serve as editor. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together – the creators, writers, and designers who bring each issue to life, the partners and advertisers who support us, and, of course, the readers who return issue after issue. This has always been a collaborative effort, and I’m grateful to everyone who has contributed along the way.

This spirit of collaboration is also what’s guiding the magazine into its next chapter. As it continues to grow, I wanted to build on what we’ve created by bringing in new editorial leadership – someone who already understands the magazine from the inside, shares its values and can help take it further while I focus on other areas that will support its growth.

I’m delighted to share that I’ve asked Anabella Wewer to step into the role of Editor of Mosaic & Glass magazine. And she said yes – what a coup! Anabella brings all the right skills, passion and experience for this moment – and she is someone many of you already know through her wonderful mosaic work and regular contributions to the magazine. (You can read more about Anabella in her bio shown below.) I have total confidence in Anabella, and I’m truly excited about the future under her editorship. You can reach her at anabella@mosaicandglass.com with any editorial questions, ideas or well-wishes. She’ll soon start work on Issue 11, which will be published in January 2027 – in a modified publishing schedule that will enable more coverage of exhibitions like the Ravenna Biennale and Prix Picassiette.

I’ll be staying closely involved as the magazine publisher and marketing lead, focusing on promoting the magazine, growing its audience and strengthening partnerships. I’ll also be dedicating more time to supporting creators and businesses in our community – helping you promote yourselves, your work, stories and services.

Before I put down my editor’s pen, I have one more idea! Many newer readers missed out on our earliest print issues – all but the current Issue 9 are sold out. For Issue 10, which will be published in June 2026, I’m planning an “Early Years” special issue, revisiting some favourites, republishing select pieces, sharing what some of the creators have been up to since then, and including new photos. I’m also planning to include two or three new features, so it will be a true collector’s item, even for those who already have the full collection. If you’d like to suggest some pieces you’d like included, please email me.

Thank you for being part of this journey. The best is yet to come!
